Greenbelt 05
Once again
Greenbelt has arrived. We leave for site tomorrow to start all the site preperations. I have a little apprehension about this year, as
Liz has already said on the GB blog some parts af this years festival are a little sketchy and I worry about the problems that may arise. This combined with the weather forcast means I am not as enthusiastic as normal. Although once I am there I am sure this will pass, after all I truly believe that as a Gb community we can overcome pretty much anything. If you are going hope to see you there.
Believing Without Belonging?
One thing those of us in the Church hang onto is the belief that people stil believe on God but choose not to work this out in churches. However it would appear that this may not be the case. Recent
research contadicts this suggesting belief in God is falling faster than Church attendance. It would be interesting to see the questions asked and look at the sample questioned(even though it was quite large) before making to many assumptions from it.
This kind of links in nicley to discussions on mission and how we do it in a changing culture. Just reading Stuart Murray
Church after Christendom which contributes to this debate. However if you look at the
Christ Church Community blog there is a good debate about mission today going on there.
We are Back
Holiday was great have piccy's and stories just no time to share them. Busy wit work stuff and GB stuff will try soon - honest!
We're all going on a summer holiday
Sorry this is going to have to be brief and the last you will be treated to for 7 whole days (nothing new there then). Its just that we are off on our hols (yippee) will blog again soon, oh yes we are off to Scotland
