Looking Brighter

Things are now thankfully looking better. Thank you for all your hugs, thoughts and prayers they have indeed helped. Sometimes I need to remember that strength comes not only from within but from the God who called me to the situation that I now find myself in. So thank you for sharing with me and reminding me of Gods love and care.

Life seems to busy again, the churches are really busy and my work with community chaplaincy is going well. The prison are giving me a bit of work so all in all things are now looking good.

Socially made a some really good mates over the last few months and enjoying trips to play snooker watch footy at the pub (why am I a city fan suddenly watching Liverpool) and sharing meals. Liz met my new mates it was scary we all had so much in common - music, 'The Punjab', football oh and the book of bunny suicides.

I am sure I will continue to have ups and downs and blog erratically but its good to know that you are all out there. Oh yes and City for once came back from the brink, having said that only to claim what they deserved equalising with the last kick of the ball. It was never in doubt all part of the game plan!!!

East meets West

The Blah evening was good. Led by Pall Singh and Richard Sudworth it looked at "how far can we engage with the Eastern spiritualities of our Sikh, Hindu and Muslim neighbours whilst retaining our Christian integrity?"

Bit different to normal as it started with a time of worship allowing us to experience some of the Eastern influence used by them in an emerging group called Sanctuary. This was just what I needed it allowed me to release my frustration and remember that whilst I was small and God very big I am still known and cherished and important to God.

The evening continued with stories and examples of how one particular church in Birmingham was engaging with its Muslim neighbours. Not there to convert just to share their understanding of God and therefore growing and nurturing understanding and relationships.

It was another good Blah possibly for me the best so far so to Ben and the team keep up the good work its much appreciated.

Hard Going

Life seems to be once again entering a time of testing prayers and long distance hugs would be good if you have any to spare.
